In the late fall of 2026, I reached out to Emma Steel. We were searching for our first author, and I was immediately struck by both the profound quality and the prolific nature of her work. Our vision aligned almost instantly, and before long, the first manuscript arrived at my desk. Now, in February 2026, we are incredibly proud to present Gothic Whispers.
The collection serves as a mirror to the world, refusing to look away from either the glory or the horror of reality. Whether contemplating the weight of surrender in a collar or the thick and hot pulse of a heart on full display, Steel’s work is a testament to the fragile flesh avatars we inhabit.
